Meet the WIN Leadership Team
Thomas Knapp is one of the founders of WIN Home Inspection’s (WIN) parent company, World Inspection Network International, Inc., and was named Chairman in 2004. As a member of our leadership team, he served as President and Director of Franchise Training for WIN from 1993 to 2003.
Mr. Knapp holds several certifications and licenses: (i) Certified Safety Supervisor, Occupational Safety Health Administration, (ii) Certified Asbestos and Hazardous Waste Supervisor and (iii) Certified Environmental Operator. Mr. Knapp has more than 20 years combined experience in residential and commercial construction and real estate. Mr. Knapp holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Western Washington University.
Chief Executive Officer
Dianne Knapp is one of the founders of WIN Home Inspection’s (WIN) parent company, World Inspection Network International, Inc., and was Chairman of the Board from 1999 to 2003.
Since 1993 she has served as Chief Executive Officer of WIN Home Inspection. Ms. Knapp has more than 25 years of combined experience in residential and commercial construction, real estate sales, and real estate development.
Steve Wadlington became President of WIN Home Inspection in October 2007. From 2005 – 2007 he served as Vice President of Sales for American Home Shield, America’s largest home warranty company where he led growth +25% vs. industry performance. As Chief Operating Officer of AmeriSpec from 1997 – 2005 Steve led North America’s largest home inspection company through continuous growth and founded the American Home Inspection Association (AHIA), a national trade association aligning key competitors, including WIN Home Inspection.
His 28 years of professional experience includes positions of increasing responsibilities in Sales, Marketing and Executive leadership with ServiceMaster, Pepsico, and Procter & Gamble. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeast Missouri State University and completed the ServiceMaster Graduate Program. His passion in life is to “discover and develop people and opportunities.”
Director of Marketing and Communications
Katie joined WIN Home Inspection in October 2016. With more than six years as a manager in the marketing department, she developed and launched a wide variety of internally and externally facing marketing programs, lead marketing training and spearheaded a national charitable campaign.
Most recently, Katie worked at Jackson National Life Insurance where she was the head of internal communications. There she also launched a new intranet, managed all company-wide communications, partnered with the external communications team to gain positive media attention, worked closely with marketing to brand Jackson-centric materials and supported executives and leadership to ensure the company’s voice and position remained on point.
She is a graduate of Michigan State University and a die-hard Spartan.
Director of Operations
Scott Johnson joined the WIN Home Office in April 2016 as the Director of Operations. After being introduced to WIN and becoming WIN’s first Strategic-Partner in 2016, Scott quickly transitioned into Operations to focus on working with the S-P’s and the Home Office to take the WIN Way to the next level.
With a 20+ year background in engineering, product and program management, and strategic marketing, Scott is responsible for managing the operations side of WIN, including Training, Technology, Marketing Operations, and Franchise Administration, spanning both internal WIN processes and supporting the Strategic-Partner and Vendor-Partner networks. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Oregon Institute of Technology.
Blair Dufresne re-joined WIN Home Inspection in Marketing Operations in March 2014. Mrs. Dufresne previously held the Franchise Administration Manager position with WIN from August 2010 to September 2012. Former to WIN Home Inspection, Blair was a Jr. Project Manager in Nashville, Tennessee for Edgenet, Inc. from February 2006 to August 2010.
Blair will manage WIN’s home office marketing initiatives, Vendor Partnerships and the needs of the network of WIN franchised businesses. She will be responsible for various organizational marketing SOPs and functions.
Blair holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Memphis, and a MBA from Middle Tennessee State University.
Training, Licensing and Inspection Support Manager
Before joining WIN Home Inspection’s corporate offices in August 2002, Pat Knight owned a very successful WIN home inspection franchise in Bellevue, WA. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Washington State University and has more than 15 years of teaching and training experience.
At WIN, Pat’s primary role is to oversee the technical aspects of the franchise training program, as well as the field support program which provides on-site assistance and guidance to WIN franchise owners. Additionally, Pat provides operations support for improvement and training to franchise owners and assists with policy and procedure development for the franchise system.
Technology Support Manager
Gary Greenberg joined WIN Home Inspection as the Information Technology Support Manager in April 2003. He has an Associates of Science degree in Computer Programming, and attended the University of Arizona where he majored in Computer Science. He also holds certifications from Novell Networking and Microsoft Operating Systems and Networking. Prior to joining WIN, Gary was Technology Support Manager for the Washington Office of NetManage Inc., an enterprise information systems software company based in Cupertino, CA.
Gary’s primary role is to oversee the computer technology aspects of the franchise training program, as well as the franchisee technology support program which provides computer and WIN software support and assistance to WIN franchise owners.
