Length of Home Inspection

The length of a home inspection depends on a number of variables, including size of home, age of home and the inspection services you’d like. Whether you are a home buyer, seller or homeowner, WIN home inspectors offer a wide range of home inspection services to fit your specific needs. Home Inspection Service What’s included? How long will it take?
Standard Home Inspection Full visual inspection of major systems in the home. Inspection of over 300 checkpoints including the electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, roof, attic, foundation, garage, basement, crawl spaces, exterior structure and decking. Between 2.5 and 3 hours.
Extended Home Inspection Includes everything in the Standard Home Inspection as well as additional interior components including the interior and exterior doors, built-in appliances, interior stairway components, bath and shower, wall coverings, kitchen cabinet doors and drawers. Between 3 and 3.5 hours.
Condo or Townhome Inspection An extensive inspection of the condominium or townhouse interior reviews the structure, mechanical, and plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling systems within the unit, along with any built-in appliances. Between 1.5 and 2.5 hours.
Duplex or Multiplex Inspection Similar to a standard or extended full home inspection, this inspection reviews all visual aspects of the individual units of a property, as well as all shared major systems and structural components. Varies greatly based on occupancy and number of units in multiplex
Mobile Home Inspection Includes everything in Standard Home Inspection, as well as an inspection of proper bracing and/or anchoring, permanent bolt-on systems and any towing, axles, or vehicular features. Between 1 and 2 hours.
Pre-listing Inspection The pre-listing home inspection includes over 300 items, from the foundation to the roof and all the major systems of the house, including electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning. This inspection also includes a positive features summary and FREE marketing tools that let potential buyers know your home is ready for purchase. Between 2-3 hours
