Building Your Dream Home? WIN is Here at Every Stage!

Building a new home is exciting. While majority of home sales occur with existing homes, buying a new construction home definitely has its advantages. With a new build, you’ll get to select your homesite in your preferred location, customize the floor plan to best suit your needs, and choose the finishes and features that match your style. At WIN, we’re here to help ensure that your dream home is functional, safe and comfortable for years to come with our comprehensive new construction inspection services from a Pre-Drywall Inspection, to a Move-In Inspection, to a One-Year Warranty Inspection, to your routine Home Maintenance Check.

During the home building process, it is critical to have the home inspected before the drywall goes up to identify and mitigate any hazards that could pose serious issues later.

After your newly constructed home is finished and ready, we’ll come out and give it a thorough inspection before you close, giving the builder time to make any necessary changes.

Many new build homes include a one-year warranty. Before your warranty expires, we’ll re-inspect your home to help identify maintenance and repairs that you can ask your home builder to address, saving you thousands in the future.

Just as we age, our homes age too, making routine maintenance and inspection services essential throughout homeownership. At least once every two years, we’ll come back to the home and conduct four essential services, including a Home Maintenance Assessment, to help you protect your home, your health and your future.

Aging in place is common among independent seniors aged 65 years and older. Our homes are our safe haven, so it’s understandable that you wouldn’t want to leave the comfort of your own home. But as we age, we can encounter serious hazards that could threaten our health and safety, for example, air and water quality issues, unsafe stairs and walkways. Through our Home Maintenance Check services, we can help ensure that your (or your parents’) home is safe and healthy.

Homeowners Ask, We Answer!

How often should I have my home inspected?

We recommend a Healthy Home Check at least once every two years to ensure your continued health and safety in your home. Just as we get regular health checkups, our homes need them too. Other preventive inspection services may be recommended by your home inspector on a routine basis including Radon Test, Air Quality Test, Mold Test, IR Scan, and a Sewer Scope Inspection to help you stay on top of maintenance, protect your home, health and safety, and save money on future repairs.

I got a home inspection when I bought my home, why do I need one now as a homeowner?

As a homeowner, regular home inspections can help you stay informed about any potential issues or maintenance needs that may have developed since the initial inspection. It helps to identify and address problems early on, potentially saving you from costly repairs down the line.

My home is clean and well-maintained, do I really need a Healthy Home Check?

Yes! Every home, regardless of how clean or well maintained it is, needs a Healthy Home Check at least once every two years. It’s important to have a trained and certified home inspector assess the condition of your home and test for health and safety hazards including fire hazards, high moisture levels, poor air quality, and sewer line damage.

As a homeowner, how do I benefit from preventive inspections and routine maintenance?

Preventive inspections and routine maintenance benefit homeowners by identifying issues early, saving on costly repairs, and ensuring the longevity of home systems. They create a safer, more comfortable living environment and can enhance the resale value of the home. Overall, it's a proactive approach to protect and maintain your home.

Can mold testing be done by homeowners, or should it be left to professionals?

Mold testing is a complex process that requires expertise, specialized equipment, and a thorough understanding of mold growth patterns, indoor air quality, and potential health risks. So, it is generally recommended to leave mold testing to professionals.
