It's normal for utility bills to go way up in the summer, as more electricity is used to cool your home. With the right ceiling fan installed, though, your home could become much more energy efficient.
Ceiling fans push hot air down toward the floor to be cooled. This allows for a more even distribution of cold air, which means less work for your air conditioner.
When buying a new fan, look for the biggest one that will fit the space. In this case, the diameter of the fan matters more than the number of blades.
