July 29, 2022 – WIN Home Inspection recently turned a local park into a hub of generosity, where team members from the Chicago-area gathered to pack over 60 backpacks full of essential school supplies. The backpacks, brimming with notebooks, pens and pencils, pencil cases, markers, glue sticks, and hand sanitizer, among other school supplies, were then donated to the Chicago Children's Advocacy Center (CCAC). The drive aimed to help local kids kick off the school year on the right foot, equipping them with the school supplies they need for a successful academic year.
“What an incredibly humbling experience to come together as a family to support the children in the community where we live and work,” said Praful Mittal, CEO of WIN Home Inspection. “Education is the stepping stone to a brighter future, and through this backpack drive, we were glad to provide these students with the tools they need to succeed."
The CCAC is the city’s only non-profit organization that combines the efforts of child protection staff, law enforcement professionals, family advocates, medical experts, and mental health clinicians under one roof. The CCAC provides vital family advocacy, crisis intervention services, and mental health therapy free of charge, paving the way for children and families to begin the healing process. Since their inception in 2001, they have served over 46,000 children in Chicago.
